HomeBrew Growler

If you are interesting in testing armatures do not throw your money away on an ebay growler, make one. This one was made from a transformer in an old Uninterrupted Power Supply. Using a sawsall, cut one leg (one that runs perpendicular to the coil) of the transformer frame out. Never run the growler without an armature installed, it will overload the transformer. I used a variac to power the transformer to control the current and voltage. This one runs at 20vac and 10amps.
